Soy Ingredients
SunOpta specializes in natural mechanical processing, which processes soybeans without the use of harsh solvents. This process keeps the dense nutrient value intact, making for a highly nutritious and functional ingredient. As a flour substitution, soy will increase the amount of protein and decrease the amount of carbohydrates. Soy as a meat alternative is lower in saturated fat and cholesterol-free, and also ideal for vegetarians. Vegetable Oils
SunOpta produces an extensive line of quality, natural vegetable oils including expeller pressed and organic soy, sunflower, safflower and palm oil. The natural expeller pressing process avoids the use of harsh chemical solvents in the separation of the oil from the oilseed. The oils can be used in a variety of food applications, from salad dressings, sauces and baked goods, to frying, roasting and cooking. Our vegetable oils are Trans Fat-free, providing both the health benefits and superior flavor profile that today’s consumers demand.
Corn, Rice, and Sunflower Ingredients
SunOpta provides a variety of grain-based ingredients including corn, rice and sunflower ingredients. These Non-GMO ingredients are ideal for snack, nutritional bar and bakery applications and make great-tasting, natural products.
